Welcome to the Style Sessions Fashion Link Up! This week I wanted to share one of my go-to outfits… the pieces I reach for when I need to dress up a little, but still want it to look effortless. There’s nothing quite like the eternally chic combination of blue and white (you can never go wrong with blue and white!), so I adore the relaxed look and feel of this shirt, mixed with the glam of nude patent heels and crisp polished feel of white jeans. I have to tell you two things…
One, these heels are amazing! I wore them for the first time a few weeks ago to one of Chris’s work functions and there was hours of standing and walking – they are incredible! The leather is beyond comfortable, easy to walk in and the nude color goes with everything (they also come in black and are under $100).
Two, my long search for the perfect white jeans ended recently with these beauties! They are thick and not see-through, so comfy and super affordable. Seriously, I’ve been looking for almost two years and have tried countless high-end white jeans… but these are the BEST! Oh and as we discussed a few weeks ago, the results are in – you can wear white jeans after Labor Day… after all you know what they say, rules were made to be broken.
In case you’re new here, Style Sessions is live every Tuesday from 12am PST. It’s all about sharing what we’ve been wearing, or if you’re on a budget, a virtual outfit you’d love to wear! Every week I also select someone to showcase as ‘Head Stylist’ in the next edition – it’s a perfect way to meet new bloggers, showcase your personal style and your blog.

Meet Our Head Stylist…
I’m thrilled for you to meet this week’s Head Stylist, Liz from Sprinkles and Sequins! What’s more perfect for the transition into Fall than some leopard flats paired with a fabulous, neutral hat?
STYLE Q&A WITH LIZ:
How would you describe your style? My style is very eclectic. Typically my style is girly edgy, but it has definitely gotten more edgy recently! But I also love preppy pieces, boho flair, and urban styles as well!
Which fashion trend are you currently loving? No brainer, I have to say leather… and neutrals! This was my style before it became a trend so I was ahead of the game! I love that the pieces are more available in stores, but it’s also super bad for my wallet!
What inspired you to start your blog? I’ve been an avid fashion blogger reader since 2011, and it’s always looked so interesting to me! I also needed a way to wear the insane amount of clothes that were in my closet (it’s only gotten worse since my blog launched in 2013!) so what better way then to start a blog of my own!? My style has definitely evolved since that first post, and it’s been so fun experimenting with what I already own and new items that I add to my closet!
Name three beauty products you couldn’t live without: My Beauty Blender- which I just rediscovered! Seriously that little sponge is awesome! NARS Smudgeproof Eye Shadow Base is my go to for my super oily eyelids, my eye makeup stays on ALL day without creasing- LOVE! And last, but not least, the L’Oreal Miss Manga mascara! Never have I used a mascara that makes my lashes look so long! It looks good even without any shadow or eye makeup- making this stuff awesome for those lazy days!
What is your best beauty trick? Apply my favorite NARS Smudgeproof Eye Shadow Base with a MAC Paint Pot (I use ‘soft Ochre’) for eye shadow that lasts longer than all day! It’s even hard to take off at night! This method is perfect if you have a party to go to, where you want insurance that your shadow won’t crease.
What is your favorite (or dream) vacation destination? I’ve actually never been out of the country- well I’ve never been off the East Coast… So i’m dying to go to Turk & Caicos, or Europe (Greece, Italy, and Barcelona are at the top of my list). Oh! And seeing the northern lights is on my bucket list too!
Tell us something not many people know about you? I have a scar on my right arm from getting burned by hot tea when I was a baby. It is in the shape of a dinosaur and I love it! People have told me to get plastics surgery to have it removed, but I would never!
