Style Sessions: Weekly Link Up

Welcome to Style Sessions! I’m so excited you’re here for week three. I believe we all have an inner Rachel Zoe and the opportunity to share this shouldn’t just be reserved for those who have a show on Bravo. Whether Vogue is your religion and WhoWhatWear your bible, or you’re just a girl who likes to be confident in what you wear, this link-up is for you!

If you coerced your spouse into doing a fashion shoot, took a couple of ‘selfies’, or are on a budget and would like to create a ‘virtual outfit’ – join us here every Tuesday from 4pm PST.

Be Featured As Head Stylist!
Each week, I will select one person to be featured as Head Stylist in the next Style Sessions. This is a fantastic opportunity to really showcase your style to everyone!

Be Inspired!
My vision is for this to be like one giant girls night in (or a shopaholics anonymous meeting), where we can share our own unique style, favorite outfits, latest fashion loves and hopefully be inspired with new ideas!

To join Style Sessions, I ask that you please, pretty please follow my blog (via GFC, Email, Twitter, Facebook or Bloglovin’) and simply provide a link to this in your post or add the button to your blog. And because this is new, I’d be so appreciative of any tweets to spread the word!

My Penchant For Sequins (and impromptu photo shoots)…

So last week I confessed my undying love of leopard. But I don’t feel like I was being fair to the sequin section of my wardrobe. Sequins, I do love you! And my latest and greatest piece? This Sabine Sequin Blazer. I ordered it from Piperlime for New Years Eve and have worn it every possible occasion since!

I’d also like to mention (before you start wondering what on earth is going on), I know I’m not your average fashion blogger with a ton of ah-mazing poses and breathtaking backgrounds. I wish I was. But I also like keeping it real – the outfits you see on my blog are ones I was actually wearing that day. Take this pic below, I’m in an elevator heading out to dinner. As you can imagine, Chris loves being involved with my impromptu photo shoots. It can happen anywhere, anytime – and usually the more awkward the place, the more likely I am to suddenly have the urge to call a shoot. What? When you want a photo, you want a photo!

I adore this tunic dress, it’s a great piece to dress up or down. I think the little tiered layers on the lower part are a cute feature and the placement works perfectly with all my jackets too. I’m also obsessed with this black Mimco Bow Cuff… bows + crystals = love!

Meet Our Head Stylist…

I knew I’d love this girl when I saw the word ‘bow’ in her post title… I’m excited to introduce you to Kacie from Kacie’s Kloset! Not only is she the creator of a fabulous blog, Kacie’s also living every girls dream – owning an amazing clothing boutiqueI adore her style, it’s girl next door meets total fashionista.

What is your favorite wardrobe piece?  Blazers. They add instant polish to any outfit.

Describe your style in three words?  How about five words? Classic with a trendy twist.

Best piece of fashion advice?  Confidence is the key to fashion. Wear what makes you feel good about yourself.
