This week has flown by! As always I’m really looking forward to the weekend – but before that, these were the highlights of my week (yes I know, it was ridiculously crazy and exciting)…
1. My new handbag arrived! I’ve been lusting after this Marc Jacobs bag for the longest time, then found a lovely little sale online and here we are. I was tossing up between the Fran and Francesca style, but decided on the Fran. I’m quite tall so can usually do large bags, but when I went to visit in-store, the Francesca was seriously HUGE! And I’d inevitably fill it to the brim. So I decided on the Fran and it is perfect. To celebrate, ‘Fran’, Chris and I went out to dinner…
2. I’m trying to be healthy at the moment and have been super into making fresh juices. One of my favorite combinations is carrot, apple, celery and ginger. But I got a little more adventurous and made a beetroot juice with cucumber and pineapple. I’ll be honest, it’s not the most delicious drink I’ve ever had, but it’s meant to be really cleansing and good for you.
1 x small beetroot
1 x cup pineapple chunks
Remove the top from the beetroot and scrub using water to remove any dirt. Peel and wash the cucumber. Slice the pineapple and remove it’s skin. Cut the fruit and vegetables to fit your juicer. Juice, serve and enjoy!
3. I got my hair done! Girls, I’m sure you’ll agree, there’s nothing like a salon visit to make you feel brand new. I’m originally blonde and about two years ago went darker. I’ve been doing balayage, but it’s gradually been building up and becoming darker and darker, so I wanted to add a little light and color back. I had foils added throughout and around the face, keeping the roots slightly darker for a subtle balayage effect. I know it doesn’t look anything crazy special, I just really love natural looking hair…
So there you go! A week of bags, beets and blowdryers!
This weekend we’re all celebrating my Dad’s birthday with a big lunch on Saturday, followed by a trip to the delicious Max Brenner. I am obsessed with their desserts, have you tried the banana crepes and chocolate pizza? Heavenly!
I hope you’ve all had a great week and enjoy a brilliant weekend! What was the best thing that happened to you this week? Do you have any exciting weekend plans?
