Well, hello there 2013. Gee you got here fast.
Happy New Year! I hope the next twelve months will bring us all an abundance of happiness, health, laughter and love.
I also hope you had a fabulous New Years Eve! Chris and I celebrated with some lazy afternoon drinks at a great bar, followed by a delicious dinner, then cocktails and fireworks. It was the perfect evening to chat about our goals, hopes and aspirations for 2013 and reminisce on what an amazing year it’s been.
I thought I’d share some photos from our evening, along with a favorite New Year quote…
“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.
Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.
So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make new mistakes.
Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before.
Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, love, work, family or life.
Whatever it is you’re scared of doing; Do it. Make your mistakes, this year and forever”.
– Neil Gaiman
What did you do for the evening, keep things relaxed at home or go all out with festivities? I’d love to hear about your plans, outfits and any stories from the night! I’ve also linked this up to What I Wore Wednesday.
