Happy Friday! I hope you’re having a great start to the year. I’ve been feeling super motivated and inspired – there’s nothing like a break over the holidays to make you feel refreshed and re-energized. Have you been feeling like this too? I hope so!
One of my focuses this year is learning balance and taking time out to relax, even if it’s just a 30-minute walk with Ollie in the morning or some coloring in my favorite adult coloring book at night. I’ve found by making a conscious effort to do this (and take a dedicated lunch break), it actually helps me work more effectively. I feel super inspired and excited to dive into projects. Working from home is amazing, but when my office is so accessible, it’s easy to be constantly working… and working… and working… and the long hours can be draining. There’s always something to do! Have you guys found this too?
I thought I’d share a couple of my favorite ways to relax and zone out – from painting my nails, to reading a great book (Sophie Kinsella is my favorite author ever, she wrote the Shopaholic series, it’s so easy to get lost in all her books). Oh and a few hours at a day spa doesn’t hurt either!
