Welcome to Style Sessions! Today I’m channeling the monochrome trend, but adding a requisite splash of color in the form of this beautiful bright scarf. I think black and white is such a great base, it’s always so stylish and the perfect platform to build a unique outfit that also shows your personality! I often find J.Crew is the best for statement necklaces, scarves or shoes to dress up any simple outfit – and J.Crew has 25% off everything at the moment until Wednesday! For the discount, use code SHOPFALL at checkout… I don’t like paying full price for anything these days, so I always stock up during sales!

A Little Piece of Venice…

I adore little pieces that remind me of somewhere special. When I was younger my family and I did an amazing Mediterranean cruise vacation and the most magical moment was when we sailed out of Venice. I remember I was sitting on the very back deck of the ship, my Dad and I were drinking a cocktail and Andrea Bocelli’s ‘Time To Say Goodbye’ was playing. It was just surreal and every time I hear that song, I am immediately transported back to that moment. Venice is a beautiful city and like much of Europe, has uniquely stunning architecture.

I recently discovered jewelry brand Mejuri and their gold cuff, entitled Fence of Venice, captured my sentimental, fashion-loving heart. This intricate design is created from the pattern found in the walkways and bridges over the water of Venice – I love the tradition and history behind this modern piece. Ready for the best news? I’ve partnered with Mejuri to give one lucky reader their very own Fence of Venice Cuff. Simply enter using the Rafflecopter (located below these outfit images) and for readers all over the globe, it’s open Worldwide!

As mentioned, today it’s all about the monochrome – I’ve been loving the simplicity and stylish nature of black and white. It’s a perfect canvas to accessorize with and add a little pop of personality… I adore my brights and this cashmere scarf from celeb favorite brand Nepali by TDM is just beautiful! It feels so soft and is the perfect magenta color, which I have been seriously obsessed with all year… along with my Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag. I know you see this every.single.week – but it was the best investment and just works with everything (I’m all about maximizing what you have!).

Meet Our Head Stylist…

I’m excited to introduce you to the ever so darling Rachel from Rachel Sayumi. I think Rachel is so creative and puts together the cutest outfits! I adored her Back to School look a few weeks ago and decided she must be the best-dressed student out there! It’s stylish and comfy – which is outfit perfection in my book…

RACHEL 2

STYLE Q&A WITH RACHEL

What is your go-to look? My favorite go-to look is a loose, comfy, but cute blouse with well-fitting skinny jeans and booties! It’s such an effortless look that’s still comfy. Just add some accessories and you look completely put-together!

Which fashion trend are you currently loving?  With the fall season right around the corner, I have been seeing my favorite clothing-colors making an appearance: Mustard, Navy, Olive and Maroon! I love mixing and matching these colors to create a toned-down, cozy fall look.

What inspired you to start your blog?  I started blogging about two years ago, just because I was bored over the summer! I would just post about day-to-day things. When I started discovering style blogs, I was blown away by this blogging world I had never known existed! I started posting outfits and getting comments, then it just took off from there. It has been so much fun to make friends, discover new brands and companies and grow my own personal style.

Name three beauty products you couldn’t live without:  My Diorshow mascara, lotion and BLUSH! If I could only choose three beauty products to use for the rest of my life, I’d be set with these three things!

How would you describe your style? I describe my style as: Girly – I LOVE jewelry, skirts and wearing heels! Evolving – I’m always willing to try new trends and discover and re-discover my style! And Relatable – Anyone could gain inspiration from what I wear, since my style isn’t too crazy and I definitely wear things that are on everyone’s budget.
