Welcome to Style Sessions! Today I’d like to share with you an outfit that combines a few of my great loves at the moment, namely peplum and red. Luckily, I discovered a top that combines both – and I added a little leopard to finish the look…

In case you’re new here, Style Sessions is live every Tuesday from 5am PST. It’s all about sharing what we’ve been wearing, or if you’re on a budget, a virtual outfit you’d love to wear! Every week I also select someone to showcase as ‘Head Stylist’ in the next edition – it’s a brilliant way to showcase your personal style and your blog.

A Peplum Obsession…

I know it’s been around for a while now, however this is one trend I haven’t tired of. There are so many peplums out there, but I’ve noticed the length and amount of material can really make a big difference to the overall look. I prefer a peplum that’s a little longer and doesn’t have too much material in the frill section. This top from Lulu’s is one of my favorites…

Meet Our Head Stylist…
I’m thrilled to introduce you to this week’s Head Stylist, Jessica of the fabulous blog Here & NowA great source of inspiration to try new things, such as embracing the up and coming skort trend! Jessica pulled this off in such a stylish way…

STYLE Q&A WITH JESSICA

What is your go-to look? My go to look starts with a button-down (I stock up on them at J.Crew). I love to tie them over dresses, layer them with jeans or knot them over skirts.

There are so many fashion trends right now, which one are you currently loving? I am currently loving anything and everything floral! Although that is tied with the recent surge of DIY being trendy, I want to pretty much bedazzle way all the things in my closet!

What inspired you to start Here & Now?  I started my blog after deciding that all my creative, girlie, fashionable brain juices were being sucked up by the rigors of my graduate school program in biomedical sciences. I had this whole other side to me that wanted to talk about shopping, trends and my own style. I had no idea that along with starting a blog, I would find this amazing community of friends with like-minded passions – what a bonus!

Name three beauty products you couldn’t live without:  I’ve been having a blast discovering new beauty products lately and my all time favorites would have to be Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Supplement, Klorane Dry Shampoo and Benefit “They’re Real” Mascara.

How would you describe your style?  My style in three words: classic, feminine, relaxed. The longer story: I gravitate to wardrobe basics like button downs, jeans and ballet flats, but enjoy spicing up my looks with statement necklaces, colorful heels and fun blazers.

Head over to Here & Now to see what trend Jessica will showcase next!
