Sparkles on Sunday

There are few things I love more than a good sequin. They just have this incredible power to make you feel all sparkly and happy – then add a bright pop of color and I’m in outfit heaven! Chris and I went to a friend’s birthday lunch on Sunday, I wanted to do daytime sequins, so I dressed the jacket down with white denim jeans and flats. I thought the light, bright colors and sparkle gave it a fun, festive feel. What are your thoughts on sequins? Do you wear them?

Meet Our Head Stylist…

I’m so excited to introduce you to Kristal from Sincerely Arizona.

Photobucket

I recently discovered Kristal’s blog and one thing that was abundantly clear (apart from the super fun vibe!) is this girl can dress! Her outfit last week (below) really caught my eye – Kristal has such a polished, but relaxed and fun style. I couldn’t wait to share it with you all! Plus, she’s incredibly sweet – I feel so lucky to have met this lovely blogger.

STYLE Q&A WITH KRISTAL

What is your favorite wardrobe piece?  That is a tough one! I guess right now my favorite piece would be a maxi skirt. I really love styling them with wedges, or cute flat sandals, a bright top and maybe a denim vest. I think they are so versatile and you can create so many combo’s with them!

Describe your style in three words:  Inspiring, realistic and fun! I only say inspiring because I hope to pair things together that other women have in their closet. I have real, doable style and I hope it inspires women to re-create a look, or at least give something a try. I keep things fun and updated, my style is always growing and changing.

Best piece of fashion advice?  Be comfortable and confident with you! Choose things that YOU love, I think a great outfit can make a person shine from the inside out, so as long as you feel good, that will come through. Also, don’t be afraid to at least TRY new things or styles that you typically wouldn’t, you never know what might be your new favorite piece of clothing!

Such fabulous advice! To discover more about Kristal, visit Sincerely Arizona!

Bows + Beads + Black
On the weekend, we went to a friends’ birthday dinner and I wore one of my favorite dresses. I adore the beaded cuffs, sheer fabric and loose floaty style. It’s so versatile, in summer I also wear it tucked in with black shorts. I love to accessorise with silver to match the beading and feel the necklace, bow clutch and studded black pumps work well. A pop of red lipstick in my favorite color (YSL Rouge Pur Couture in Le Orange) finishes the look…

Meet Our Head Stylist…

I couldn’t believe I hadn’t discovered Erin from The Fashion Canvas until recently – where have I been? This girl is one serious fashionista and a total sweetheart to match! Erin does the most fabulous photo shoots and I’m sure her unbelievable wardrobe would rival that of some Hollywood stars!

STYLE Q&A WITH ERIN:

What is your favorite wardrobe piece?  Due to our extremely cold winter in Utah, I have been loving anything with fur! Coats, vests, boots etc. But my favorite go-to piece that has been in quite a few posts lately, is my Michel Kors infinity scarf (seen above).  It is the perfect accessory to throw on and dress up any outfit (and also keeps me very warm!)

Describe your style in three words?  Eclectic, Girly, Risk-Taker

Best piece of fashion advice?  Wear clothing that works for your shape. I love looking at other fashion blogs for inspiration, but will make modifications to their outfits to fit my specific body-style. Being confident and owning your look is also the key to a successful outfit, because that confidence will radiate throughout!

My Weekend Style…
If you’re a regular, you may have noticed my love for leopard! This weekend was no different, I adore mixing this print with warm colors like gold and cream. I’m also loving blazers, they just work with everything! One of my favorite things is to find pieces with something unique, like the slightly military style shoulder detail of this jacket. And let’s not forget ballet flats, a staple in every wardrobe! I recently hit the Steven Madden sale and picked up just the right amount of new shoes (or if you ask Chris, he would say “far too many”… tomato / tomatoe!) I love the patent toe and quilted design.

Meet Our Head Stylist…

This week, the gorgeous Shannon from Shannon Hearts will be our Head Stylist! I’m truly so excited to introduce you, Shannon not only creates the most beautiful fashion photography, she is also one of the sweetest bloggers I’ve been lucky enough to meet.

When I saw her latest outfit (below), it was love at first sight – everything about this look is perfection! I love the pops of color and fun heart tee…

Style Q&A with Shannon:

What is your favorite wardrobe piece?  Lately I’ve been obsessed with blazers. I know it’s a bit boring, but I’d say my favorite wardrobe piece is my basic black blazer. It is so versatile and looks great with everything from jeans and a t-shirt to my favorite dresses.

Describe your style in three words?  I’d like to think my style is natural, feminine and classic.

Best piece of fashion advice?  Wear what makes you feel pretty and don’t worry about what other people think.
