On the weekend I was looking through some of my favorite quotes, saved up for times when I feel that need for a little inspiration and push to keep going. Over the last eight months, I’ve been working on a brand new business which is due to launch in the coming weeks. It’s been the most incredible experience… more difficult than I could have fathomed, but twice as personally rewarding as I ever imagined.
Whatever happens, it’s an amazing feeling to know you’ve given something your all, truly pushed yourself, learned, grown and been brave in the pursuit of your dreams. I’m so excited to tell you more and share everything in a few weeks!
One of the biggest things I’ve learned? Surround yourself with people who truly believe in you and support your goals, both professionally and personally. People are always around in the good times. It’s the people who are there when things get complicated, those who help you work through tough aspects, have unwavering belief in you and bring you back if you start to doubt yourself… these people are worth their weight in gold. To you, I am eternally grateful.
I’ve also learned the power of being confident in your decisions, trusting your gut and just taking a leap of faith! After all, what’s the worst that will happen? I adore the quote that says, fifty years from now you’re more likely to regret the things you didn’t do than the things you did.
A fabulous quote from the ever inspiring fit fashionista, Lorna Jane Clarkson
So today is Monday. The start of a new week. A fresh opportunity to begin something you’ve always wanted to do. The chance to write your own story and chase your dreams. My question to you is… if you knew you could not fail, what would you do?
Each week, I’ve started writing down three things I want to have achieved by the following Sunday evening. They could be small, as simple as going for a long walk to clear my head, or planning to catch-up with a friend I haven’t seen recently. Through to steps that will lead me to achieve my big goals, like registering a URL, setting up social media accounts, buying a 2014 diary, or scheduling a time to brain storm my ideas on paper.
I believe writing things down is a great first step to making them happen and holding yourself accountable, so leave a comment below and tell me… What is one thing (big or small) you want to achieve this week?
