My savvy shopping friends, you won’t want to miss this! I’m sharing EVERYTHING you need to know about shopping the Amazon Prime Day Sale and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Between Black Friday deals and Christmas sales, we’re successful at saving money at the end of the calendar year – but what about the savvy shoppers looking to purchase big-ticket items in the summer? Right now, two of the biggest sales of the year are happening – Amazon Prime Day and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

Mid-July is essentially it’s very own “holiday” for shoppers like me (and you, if you’re anything like me!). So, I’m going to walk you through both sales and share tips on how to get the very best sale deals.

Amazon Prime Sale 2019

I may or may not single-handedly keep Amazon in business – they have everything I want and need, and then some! To break it down for you, Prime Day is a 2-day parade of epic deals that are exclusively for Prime members. First things first, to take advantage of the sale you need to sign up for a free Amazon Prime trial here. If you aren’t already a Prime member, they have a 30 day free trial and you cancel anytime without being charged. Then, mark your calendars for the big Amazon Prime Day Sale 2019 dates July 15 and 16.

While the first-ever Prime Day back in 2015 only featured Amazon-centric products, like Kindle and Echo products, the biggest online e-Commerce company has since added a range of products to its sale inventory that can even be found by category themes. For 48 hours straight, you will find major discounts on thousands of items – with new products being rolled out throughout the day.

One thing that many people don’t know is not every deal will last the entire two days. Some are only offered for a limited time (eg.”for the next 60 minutes”), so if you see something you like, act fast and snap it up! Another tip; just because one product isn’t on sale when you check in the morning doesn’t mean you won’t be able to get it for a cheaper price later in the day. One way to ensure you don’t miss out on a deal is by tracking them throughout the day and setting an alert using the Amazon App.

Nordstrom Sale

With major deals on designer name brands, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the kind of massive sale that you set alarms for ahead of time. Things sell out fast, so you don’t miss anything! But it can be incredibly overwhelming if you’re not prepared. It’s no secret that the hottest items sell out fast, so here is everything you need to know about the sale before it’s go-time.

Early Access for Nordstrom card members runs from Friday, July 12 at 12:30 pm EST through July 18. Apply to become a Nordy member here and be the first to shop! You can also see the full catalogue and the sale homepage to view your favorites ahead of time. Public access will begin on July 19 at 12:30 pm EST and runs through August 4. Prices go up August 5th, so grab what you need – and the best part is, Nordstrom always have free shipping and returns!
