I love talking hair care and wanted to share the best hair products with you today, plus five fabulous hair care tips from celebrity stylists. Is it just me, or is it hard to keep up with all the rules required for flawless, luscious locks? Between minimal hot tools, frequent trips to the hairdresser, natural products and hair masks, it may seem like an impossible task.
If anyone truly knows all things hair, it’s Hollywood’s top hair stylists! These are the hair miracle workers who constantly get the stars ready for the red carpet, so I turned to them for five fabulous tips on the best ways to care for your hair (as seen in this article).
5 Tips From Hollywood Hair Stylists:
Hair Care Tip One: Use a hair mask before working out. Typically people like using hair masks after they hit the gym, but it’s actually more beneficial to use one before.
Hair Care Tip Two: Don’t use shampoo super often. According to Reese Witherspoon’s stylist, “if you’re using shampoo every time you wash your hair, stop immediately. It dries it out and makes it less shiny”.
Hair Care Tip Three: Don’t use conditioner on your scalp. Your scalp actually has natural oils that help keep it hydrated, so you should only be applying conditioner beginning about four inches down from scalp.
Hair Care Tip Four: Use the right brushes. In a recent Glamour article they explained “different brushes are designed to provide different functions.” So do your research before you purchase your next brush to find out if it’s right for your hair type and the look you want to create.
Hair Care Tip Five: As often as you can, do your hair the night before. Beyonce’s stylist recommends doing “all the hard work the night before.” It can be a big time saver, too! This will help the frizz go down and give your hair a more natural effortless wave… so you really can say, “I woke up like this!”.

The Best Hair Products
Following are some of the best hair products I’ve personally used and loved, a few of my absolute faves are…
DEEP TREATMENT HEAT CAP:
This Deep Conditioning Microwave Heat Cap offers an easy and cute way to achieve the results of a salon quality deep conditioning treatment at home. It has over 3,000 five-star reviews too and is one of Etsy’s best-sellers. You can use this heat cap with any of your favorite conditioning treatments, masks or hair oils. It seriously amplifies the treatment, as by adding heat, the hair strands open and allow the product to penetrate (not just sit on the surface). This is why salon treatments are usually so much more effective… but with this cap, you can get salon quality treatments at home any time.
I love this cap and can’t believe I ever lived without it! I got one for my mom too and she loves it. If you enjoy getting “the works” at the salon, but prefer to save money on something you can easily do at home, this deep conditioning heat cap was made for you!
WET BRUSH:
This is for sure my favorite brush of all time! Don’t let the name fool you – it works great on wet or dry hair. Plus, because it’s gentle and doesn’t pull your hair, it’s great for hair extensions too. I love the soft, flexible bristles that allow your hair to easily be detangled. Again, this is another thing I bought my mom and she’s equally obsessed… she also ended up buying them for her sisters too! They’re really that good. If you don’t have a wet brush, you need one.
MOROCCAN OIL:
This award-winning, revolutionary hair product is what started all the buzz on Argan Oil. This Moroccan Oil truly works to make my hair feel smoother than ever, silky soft and shiny. A little bit goes a long way, so one bottle lasts a looong time. I like to use this with my microwave heat cap (above), coating my hair with this oil, then popping the heat cap on to let it really penetrate into my hair and work its magic.
