A denim shorts and linen shirt outfit is a summer fashion staple. This effortless style is perfect for everyday and definitely what you need to pack for vacation.

I wanted to share some real life photos of an outfit I wear all the time. I hope you don’t mind the mirror selfies, but I really believe it’s important to keep things real in this online world. As much as I love doing photoshoots, I want to balance that with real day-to-day life – and that means a few quick photos in the hallway mirror on my way out of the house.
 

Wearing Linen and Denim

Linen is my favorite fabric, it’s beautiful to wear. As a natural fabric, linen helps regulate your body temperature, so it’s very comfortable to wear and keeps you cool in summer or warmer when you need it. I love these linen shirts, they come in a range of colors.

Because this outfit is based on clean, classic style pieces that every girl needs, I need to do a special shout-out to denim shorts! I wear them almost every day in summer and love that they’re so easy and virtually indestructible (it’s nice having clothing pieces you don’t have to be precious with).

As I’m sure you know, I’m very into leather jackets too. I live in this cropped leather moto jacket and find it’s great to throw on with shorts, skirts and dresses when the nights still feel cool.
