I can’t quite believe as I write this that it’s December 1 already… and this Sunday 3 December is my birthday! Woohoo! I will be turning 33 guys, which just doesn’t seem right… I swear, at least in my head, I’m only 26. I absolutely love any excuse to celebrate, so my birthdays aren’t just a day long celebration – it’s a weekend! Which seems pretty reasonable, as a few years ago I would mark an entire week as “Birthday Week!”.

Tonight to kick off the weekend, my husband Chris has organised a sunset picnic for us on the water with some delicious food and of course, champs! Then tomorrow, I’m enjoying pedicures, shopping and a long lunch with my bestie Ariella (you may remember seeing her in our wedding video, she made a beautiful bridesmaid!), followed by margarita’s and Mexican for dinner.

Then on my actual birthday, I planned a bunch of activities. I love being outside and doing fun things on my birthday, so we’re starting the day with a long walk and coffee (with my little pup Ollie!), playing putt-putt at a pretty golf course with my family, followed by brunch at one of my favorite spots (Sunday brunch is the best). Then more exploring and adventures in the afternoon… topped off by more margarita’s and Mexican for dinner! Yes, you read that right… back-to-back Mexican dinner. If you can’t overload on your favorite food in the whole world for your birthday, when can you?

I thought I’d share a fun little flashback with you today to when I turned 30! I also wanted to share a letter I wrote on the eve of my 29th birthday… it’s funny looking and reading back on things. One thing I am so incredibly grateful for about Style Elixir is having such an amazing time-capsule of times in my life. From some fun things like major hair color changes, to more significant life events like our wedding, it’s so special to look back and I wanted to share some of that journey with you via these photos and this birthday letter from four years ago. I’d also like to sincerely thank you for being part of my life story and reading my blog (many of you have been so loyal and here for so many years – it really is special to have shared many of life’s milestones with you… with many more amazing things to come!).
