I love wearing nautical outfits in summer (well, truth be told, any time of year actually). There’s just something so polished about traditional navy and white colors, plus they’re usually in the form of stripes – and everyone loves a gorgeous stripe outfit!

Wearing nautical outfits doesn’t mean you need to look like the Captain on a cruise ship. The key is to add elements that channel a crisp ocean vibe, but keep it subtle. One of my favorite ways is a blazer, it’s so versatile and definitely gives a sophisticated feel to any look. I’ve had the one below for a few years, which proves classic pieces never go out of style. It has gorgeous little navy and white stripe trim details and a chic brass button with a subtle anchor. I like adding it with a stripe tee, skinny jeans and sneakers for an effortless day time vibe, then at night you can swap them out for heels.
