It’s been a while since I’ve done a post like this, but I thought it would be fun to share what I’ve been into lately (hint, matcha tea and bubble baths are where it’s at). You know the kind of things you talk about and share with your friends? Well I wanted to do that with you, because over the years I’ve been blogging so many of you truly have become friends.
So let’s catch up ladies! Here’s what I’ve been reading, listening to, drinking, doing and dreaming lately. I’d love to hear about something you’ve been into, please leave a comment and let me know!
Reading…
After watching The People vs. O.J Simpson American Crime Story series recently, it made me want to read more. After checking out lots of books and their reviews on Amazon, I downloaded ‘I Did It: Confessions of the Killer‘ on my Kindle app. I’m almost finished and it’s been a very interesting read – the chapter about that night is chilling. Have any of you read this book too? Thoughts?
Drinking…
Matcha Tea Lattes! It’s become a daily ritual. A lot of coffee shops still don’t have matcha tea, so I find it best to make mine at home in the morning. I love the Organic Matcha DNA Tea Set (it has over 240 five-star reviews), you use the bamboo whisk and it creates the most deliciously frothy matcha tea latte.
Matcha is an ancient ceremonial Japanese tea, it’s high in antioxidants, increases energy levels, burns calories, detoxifies the body, enhances calm and fortifies the immune system. It’s really good!
Doing…
Recently I’ve become obsessed with baths! They are just so beautifully relaxing, especially when you have a great book or mag to read and a gorgeous smelling bath soak. I love this Flowers and Salt Bath Soak, it’s infused with lavender, rose petals, calendula, chamomile, dead sea and epsom salts.
Dreaming…
I have a perpetual case of wanderlust and am always dreaming of the next destination to explore. I would absolutely LOVE to see the Northern Lights and sleep in a glass igloo in Iceland. I found a travel deal recently – three nights with airfares for only $489! Such an incredible couple or family vacation.
Listening…
I’m still loving the song I Took a Pill in Ibiza (Mike Posner, Seeb Remix).

That matcha tea sounds amazing! I’ve never tried something like that before, so I will have to look into it! I’m always obsessed with baths and bath products, those salts sound wonderful. I bought a diy bath and body recipe book and I’m planning on making my own bath salts soon, super excited! And those glass igloos look so cool! I hope you get to go!

Hope to see you for TBT Fashion link up.
Hi Lauren,
Just a word of warning before you book that travel deal: your pics are from Kakslauttanen Arctic resort (http://www.kakslauttanen.fi/en/) in Finnish Lapland, but your ‘deal’ is for Iceland… You may well see Northern Lights in Iceland, but it is nowhere near Lapland. Lapland is simply the northernmost parts of Finland, Sweden and Norway whereas Iceland is an island further away in the Atlantic. I would be very wary of a travel website that advertises flights to one country using pictures from another…
I have two friends who have gone to Iceland recently and both of their pictures were breathtaking! It’s definitely on the bucket list. Have a wonderful weekend!
Those glass igloos look amazing. While they may not be in Iceland, Iceland is a gorgeous place to visit. I have been there twice and both times were very great deals. About $700 round trip for two with a 3 night hotel stay (that was many years ago though). But definitely worth doing at least once!
Have a fabulous weekend!

Wow- I think you and I are somehow sisters from another mister. I became obsessed with matcha about a year ago when I lived in new york. You can buy it everywhere there, and new cafes are popping up on every corner. Now I buy mine from Panatea to make at home myself, and it’s my absolute favorite thing. Other things: I am OBSESSED with the northern lights and am determined to venture north in the next year to see them. I can only imagine how surreal it must be! And lastly i’m voting for “I took a pIll in iBiza” to be the song of the summer even though its sort of old now and JT has that on lock. The lyrics are so good- you should listen to some of the other songs on Mike Posner’s record- they are equally good although a little more chill!
Happy Friday!
