I’m well and truly in the midst of wedding planning right now (only 50 days to go!) and one fabulous thing to organize is of course, the cake! I’ve been scouting Pinterest for drip wedding cakes inspiration and there are some truly incredible creations… but with so many beautiful options, it gets a little confusing – I want them all! So that’s where I’d love your help… can you please help me decide? I love the effortless feel of semi naked drip wedding cakes, they are lively and fun. One of my colors is rose gold (wait til you see the invitations from Wedding Paper Diva’s – you can add metallic details to almost everything they have, I was in heaven!), so I’d love to incorporate the metallic rose gold element into the cake. I am thinking…
Option One: Semi naked drip wedding cake with white frosting sides and some metallic rose gold brushed details throughout. Then white drip over the top and finished with flowers, macaroons and other fun little treats.
Option Two: Semi naked drip wedding cake with all-white frosting sides and metallic rose gold drip over the top. Finished with flowers, macaroons and fun treats too.
Also, do you think topping the cake with soft blush pink flowers or bright pink flowers would be best? Please leave a comment and let me know your thought – I’d LOVE (and actually really need) your help! If you have any ideas on a creation, or a mix of the below, please comment and let em know.
If you’re after inspiration for your own birthday or special event… or just love looking at cakes (hello, who doesn’t?), I wanted to share some of the best semi naked drip wedding cakes I found on Pinterest, I think the addition of drips on the cake makes it even more fun too.

Cake three is my favorite, and I vote for blush flowers if that goes with the rest of your wedding!!

First of all, I think it’s great you’re even having a wedding cake at your wedding. I can’t even tell you how many weddings I’ve been to where they have eliminated the traditional wedding cake and went with a dessert bar. I really love the art and tradition of a wedding cake. Secondly, wow! All these cakes are gorgeous! I’ve never seen this look before and I love it. My favs are the first one, I like the brushed gold and soft rose of the second one, but not the thistle. The colors in the third one are very pretty, but I’m missing the dripping. I don’t like cakes four and five at all. Cake six is just O.K. And I really like cake seven too. The metallic look is very pretty.
All of those cakes are so gorgeous. I love the cakes with gold on them! Fabulous!

I think 2 and 6 are my favourites. They all look too pretty to eat though!
