Today is our second wedding anniversary! It’s absolutely crazy how quickly time flies… I can’t believe that two years ago, Chris and I were getting married.

Over the last few days I’ve reminisced on the lead up to our wedding and how I felt – there is so much anticipation and nervous excitement in the lead up to the big wedding day! It’s true what everyone says, your wedding day goes by in a blink. It’s a wonderful, warm, happy blur.

When I started wedding planning, one must-have was an amazing videographer. There’s something so powerful about storytelling through film and a wedding is such a rare opportunity to have everyone you love in one place at one time. Being able to capture your loved ones, their personality and your connection on film is truly special.

After a ridiculous amount of research and watching other wedding videos (confession – and crying through them, I was like “come on Lauren, you don’t even know these people!” haha), I was so lucky to find the immensely talented True North Films. Their ability to inject emotion, feeling and truly capture moments in a creative way that tells a story and take you on a journey is second to none. The video they created for us is without doubt one of my most treasured possessions of all time. I still watch it regularly (and my Mum loves it… it’s hard to believe, but I actually think she might watch our wedding video even more than I do!).

I’d love to take a special trip down memory lane and bring you all on the journey today for our second wedding anniversary.
